I'm an artist and researcher working on the histories of electricity, sound, music, and industrial labor. I'm currently in the masters of information studies program where my research project focuses on reverse engineering works of handmade electronic music for documentation and further development. There I work with Catherine Guastavino and Guillaume Boutard. I have a PhD in electronic arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a masters in Digital Musics from Dartmouth College, and a bachelor of arts from Hampshire College. My first book, "Modular Synthesis: Patching Machines and People" was published by Routledge in 2024 (https://www.routledge.com//9781032113463).
I am part of Catherine Guastavino's Multimodal Interaction Lab (https://mil.mcgill.ca/) and Jonathan Sterne's CATDA working group. I am also a part time student librarian at Concordia University and a part time researcher with the Designing Sound Futures project at York University.
