Selected from over 50 applications by a national jury, CIRMMT collaborator, Kevin Gironnay, has been chosen by the Canadian League of Composers (CLC) to take part in the 2020-2021 PIVOT program. Having Bekah Simms as his mentor, Gironnay will benefit from unique CLC professional development events as well as an one-on-one support and guidance for the next six months as he completes a new composition for the Continuum piano trio. His piece will be recorded live and showcased in special online digital presentations in the Spring of 2021.
The PIVOT program is the result of a partnership between the Canadian League of Composers, the Canadian Music Centre, and the Continuum Contemporary Music, and it provides unparalleled opportunities for early-career composers from across Canada.
